Order politely with vorrei and the right article or container.
Understand the choice
A café order combines a courteous frame, a serving noun, and per favore. Italian often treats caffè as an espresso unless another type is specified.
Core rule: Vorrei + noun is a polite request; di elides to d’ before acqua.

Vorrei un caffè e una bottiglia d’acqua, per favore.
I would like a coffee and a bottle of water, please.
Vorrei softens the order; un caffè and una bottiglia are gendered objects; d’acqua fills the container.
Lei beve il tè con il latte.
She drinks tea with milk.
Tè and latte are linked through con.
Prendiamo due bicchieri di vino e un succo.
We are having two glasses of wine and a juice.
Bicchieri and vino form a quantity phrase; succo is another drink.
What to remember
- Latte means milk; caffellatte is coffee with plenty of milk.
- Acqua is feminine but uses un’ before the vowel: un’acqua in a service context.
Common trap: Do not say voglio to a server unless a direct tone is intended; vorrei is safer.
