Education terms reflect different routes. Ausbildung is vocational preparation, Studium university study, Weiterbildung later professional learning, and Abschluss the resulting qualification.
Core rule: Eine Prüfung ablegen, einen Abschluss erwerben, ein Praktikum machen, and Kenntnisse vertiefen are standard combinations.

- Studieren is an activity at a university; lernen is general learning or studying.
- Abitur is a school-leaving qualification, not any graduation.
Common trap: Do not translate Gymnasium as gym; it is an academic secondary school.
